Bamboo is nature’s most amazing plants. Many people call this plant a tree, but it is a kind of grass.
Like other kinds of grass, a bamboo plant may be cut very low to the ground, but it will grow back very quickly. A Japanese scientist reported one bamboo plant which grew 1.5 meters in 24 hours! Bamboo grows almost everywhere in the world except Europe. There are more than 1, 000 kinds of bamboo.

Long long ago, there was a fairy(仙女) on a large island. She was the strongest and cleverest among all fairies. However, she was very ugly. Last Sunday evening, my parents went out for a walk with my sister. But I studied alone at home because I should have an English test the next day. Suddenly, I saw bright light in my neighbor’s kitchen. I thought he was cooking, so I went on studying.
