Are you a good helper in the kitchen? Flynn McGarry, from the US, does more than that. The 15-year-old boy began cooking at the age of ten. And it is surprised that he has his own restaurant now.
McGarry practiced his cookery skills (技能) after school. He taught himself from books and the internet. The boy really loves cooking. In his room, there are no video games but cooking tools (工具). He turned his room into an experimental (实验的) kitchen called Club Eureka.
Today, Club Eureka is very popular and it has served many people. Even many famous people pay around $ 160 per person to eat in McGarry’s Club Eureka. The New York Times magazine described his food as “creative”.
As for the future, McGarry wants to open a Michelin-Starred restaurant. He hopes to make it one of the world’s 50 Best and “maybe top 5”.

| Black bread with honey — A friend of mine stayed in a hotel in India and the manager gave this to her for stomachache (胃痛). It really works. Just take a piece of bread and toast it until it’s black. Then put honey on the bread and eat it. It doesn’t look good, but it can really help. So if you get stomachache, try this remedy (治疗法). |

| An onion — If you get a high temperature, use an onion. It sounds strange but it helps. Cut one large onion in half and put the half an onion to the bottom (底部) of each of your feet. You shouldn’t wear socks, of course! I use this on my kids and it works every time. The remedy came from a friend from down south. |
