I think people should do more things online from home. Why pollute the air by driving your car to the supermarket, when you can order your weekly shopping on the Internet~ You can also book holidays as well.Posted by Billy on June 1 lth 7:36 am
I try to use public transportation whenever I can. I take the bus to college and walk home. When my mum wants to give me a lift, I always refuse, as I can get there quickly by bus. Also the buses in my town are electric so they are environmentally friendly!Posted by Carol on. June 12th 10:35 am
Why not use two wheels? Any motorcycle will use less fuel (燃料)an a car. You don't get caught in traffic jams either. But in my opinion, the best thing is a bicycle. They don't produce any pollution and help you to keep fit at the same time.Posted by Daz on .lune 12th 16:00 nm
I can't get to my university by bus or train. So I found three other girls who live nearby to have a car share with. And now we take it in turns to drive every day. I have cut down the costs -- and most importantly,- I am helping the environment!Posted by Angela on June 15th 9:36pm

Have you ever been sad because you failed in something? If so, please remember, for often, achieving what you expect is not the most important thing. Here is a story to tell you why.
One day a little boy decided to dig a hole behind his house after watching a science program. As he was working, a couple of boys stopped by to watch. "What are you doing?" asked one of the visitors. "I want to dig a deep hole all the way through the earth!" the boy answered excitedly. The older boys began to laugh, telling him that it was impossible to do it. Then they left.
The little boy kept on digging and digging. Suddenly, a few small colorful stones caught his eyes. He collected them and put them into a glass jar patiently. Humming a song, he went on digging. The jar was full soon. Then he talked to himself calmly and proudly, "Maybe I can't finish digging all the way through the earth, but look at what I have found in the process (过程) of digging !"

Gina, who is thirteen years old, got first prize in the "Young Cook of the Year" competition and she wants to write a recipe book for kids. "I want it to be fun to read and easy enough for children to use," she says. Gina learned by watching her father, who's also good at cooking, in the kitchen. She wants to encourage other children to cook because "everyone needs to eat so it's a skill that will always be useful!"
Seventeen-year-old Brian used to love running until he was hurt in a serious accident three years ago. He lost part of one leg and didn't even expect to walk again. Now he's an athlete who has recently taken part in a long race. "After my accident I wanted to give up," he says. "But now I'm happy to be alive and able to continue running."
Helen has always been good at science, but she thought it was too difficult to become an inventor. Then she heard about an accident that had happened when a car hit a train in her town. "That gave me an idea," says the clever sixteen-year-old. It took her over a year to invent a small special machine that tells car .drivers when a train is coming.
