  2. M’Kenzie and Derek Tillotson, of Utah, USA, are planning to embark on an epic trip around the world with their three young children, and are looking for a travel nanny(保姆) to help them on their journey. They posted a Facebook video hoping to get a few dozen applications, but ended up with messages from nearly 20,000 people hoping to get the job.

The couple runs a family travel blog called ‘Five Take Flight’ and recently decided to sell their home in Utah and go on an unforgettable adventure around the world. They plan to leave in July, flying from their home in Utah to New York City, then to Iceland, and the rest of Europe. They’ll return to their home city for a two weeks over Christmas, before flying to Hawaii, New Zealand, and finally Asia. It sounds like an incredible experience, but it’s also going to be pretty tough to manage with three kids, which is why they’ve decided to take someone to travel with them and lend a hand when necessary.

“You’ll be an honorary member of the family and will be treated with respect and be able to voice your opinion.” The travel nanny will be required to handle most of the homeschooling for the couple’s two boys, while also looking after their baby sister and also handle some of the cooking and cleaning.

“It’s hard to define your exact hours because you will be living with us, but you will have time to yourself every day for sure, and one to two times a week you’ll be able to go off on your own .” The Tillotsons add that the chosen person will receive a monthly salary of $1200 – $1500 for their work besides travel expenses and other living costs. 3. It has been showed that teachers in UK schools are trying the use of body cameras in class to record bad pupil's behavior.

At least two schools in England have introduced the equipment for constant recording with the agreement of local education authorities. The cameras, worn on teachers’ clothing, are set to film all the time but only save encrypted footage(加密镜头)when the record button is pressed, the Times reported.

Teachers are advised to turn on the cameras during incidents in the classroom to deal with “constant low-level interruption”, but must give notice before doing so.

The technology is already used by police and some hospital staff as well as crossing-patrol officers. Footage could also be shared with parents to involve them in addressing their children’s behavior. Feedback from parents and schools was said to be positive, with teachers praising them as an effective deterrent(震慑).

A survey published on Wednesday questioning teachers on the idea found more than a third would be willing to wear a body camera in the classroom, with many wanting the technology available to help fight with bad behavior from pupils.

Of the people who said they were in favor, about 31.6 percent said they were motivated by teacher and student safety. Among those who were not willing to use the technology, reasons included concerns about their own privacy and that of the children, as well as feeling spied on, or the possibility of misuse by management.

Around two-thirds of the teachers, more than 600 in total, said they feel safer in the classroom if they knew there was a camera recording everything, while 10.9 percent said they could foresee a time when bodycams are compulsory.

Mary Bousted, general secretary at the Association of Teachers and Lectures(ATL), said all schools should be safe places for pupils and staff.

1.If a teacher wants to save the record for later use, he should _____________.

    A. give first notice

    B. press the record button

    C. film with the camera all the time

    D. ask for the permission of the students

2.What can we learn from the text?

    A. Some people agree with the idea.

    B. None of the parents support the idea.

    C. Students are not worried about their private things.

    D. All schools have been safe about for teachers and students.

3.What may be the best title for the text?

    C. How to Record Students’ Good Behavior

    D. The Advantages and Disadvantages of Taking Photos

  4. It may seem like a moment in a science fiction movie. In a fierce battle, a creature loses an arm but, then, grows another one to take its place.

However, this is not science fiction. It is scientific fact. Some fish and amphibians, such as salamanders, can regrow lost limbs and organs.

As mammals evolved they lost the ability to regrow, or regenerate, parts of their body. However, experiments show that it may be possible to regain that ability.

Tropical freshwater zebrafish are popular pets. They are also popular as lab animals. Their embryos(胚胎) are clear, or translucent. They can regrow damaged fins, skin and hearts. Zebrafish are also genetically(基因地) similar to humans.

In 2013, the website Sci-News reported that researchers had found that 70 per cent of “protein-coding human genes” are related to genes found in the zebrafish. The report also said that researchers at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute in Britain also found that 84 per cent of genes known to be connected to human disease have a zebrafish counterpart.

Scientist Wang Yadong is one of the Pittsburg researchers. He and his team are studying the ability of zebrafish to regenerate limbs and organs. Wang says you can cut away about 20 per cent of the zebrafish heart and it will regenerate. He add that same process may be able to help humans.

Scientists injected(注射) an “extracellular matrix,” or ECM, from the heart of a zebrafish into a severely damaged mouse heart. They found that the heart muscle regrew in days. They found something else. The healing was even faster when the ECM was taken from zebrafish that was itself in the process of re-growing damaged tissue.

1.The main reason why the zebrafish were chosen as lab animals is that _____________ .

    A. they are popular pets

    B. their bodies are clear to study

    C. they are genetically similar to humans

    D. they are easy to find for the researchers

2.What does the underlined word “counterpart” in Paragraph 5 probably mean?

    A. A similar thing.

    B. A different fish.

    C. A human being.

    D. A little mouse.

3.After injecting ECM from a zebrafish into the damaged mouse heart, what did scientists find?

    A. The zebrafish died quickly.

    B. The mouse heart regrew in days.

    C. The zebrafish heart regrew quickly.

    D. The mouse healed more slowly than normal.

4.Where is the most probably taken from?

    A. A science fiction.

    B. A guide book.

    C. A fashion magazine.

    D. A science report.
