AN old man wanted to spade (铲) his potato garden, but it was very hard work. His only son was in prison (监狱). The old man wrote a letter to him:

Dear Son,

I won’t be able to plant my potato garden this year.

I’m just too old. If you were here, all my troubles would be over.

Shortly, the old man received this telegram (电报):
