People who drink a little, exercise, give up smoking and eat five servings of fruit and vegetables each day live on average 14 years longer than people who have none of these behaviors, researchers said on Tuesday . A collection of evidence has shown that these things contribute to healthier and longer lives, but the new study actually proved their mixed effect, the British team said.
“These results may provide further support for the idea that even small differences in lifestyle may make a big difference to health, ” the researchers wrote in the journal PLOS Medicine.
Between 1993 and 1997 the researchers questioned 20,000 healthy British men and women about their lifestyles. They also tested every participant’s(参与者) blood to measure vitamin C intake, an indicator(指标)of how much fruit and vegetables people ate.
Then they assigned(分配,分派)the participants---aged 45-79 a score of between 0 and 4,giving one point for each of the healthy behaviors. After allowing for age and other factors(因素) that could affect the likelihood of dying, the researchers found people with a score of 0 four times as likely to die.
The researchers, who tracked deaths among the participants until 2006,also said a person with a health score of 0 had the same risk of dying as someone with score of 4 who was 14 years older.
The lifestyle change with the biggest benefit was _____________________ ,which led to an 80 percent improvement in health, the study found. This was followed by eating fruits and vegetables. [1] Today, millions of people want to learn or improve their English but it is difficult to find the best method. Is it better to study in Britain or America or to study in your own country?
[2] The advantages of going to Britain seem obvious. Firstly, you will be able to listen to the language all the time you are in the country. You will be surrounded completely by the language wherever you go . Another advantage is that you have to speak the language if you are with other people. In Italy, it is always possible, in the class, to speak Italian if you want to and the learning is slower.
[3] On the other hand, _____ staying at home to study. You don’t have to make big changes to your life. As well as this, it is also a lot cheaper than going to Britain but it is never possible to achieve the results of living in the UK. If you have a good teacher in Italy, I think you can learn in a more concentrated way than being in Britain without going to a school.
[4] So, in conclusion, I think that if you have enough time and enough money, the best choice is to spend some time in the UK. This is simply not possible for most people, so being here in Italy is the only viable option. The most important thing to do in this situation is to maximize your opportunities: to speak only English in class and to try to use English whenever possible outside the class.

[1] Teenagers who spend hours in front of the television may have a poorer diet as young adults, a new study suggests. It's not clear, researchers say, whether television itself is the reason, but it is possible that things like snacking(吃零食) in front of the TV or seeing ads for junk food influence young people's diets.
[2] The study included nearly 1,400 high school students. It showed that those who watched TV for five hours or more everyday had less-healthy diets than their students five years later. As a group, they ate fewer fruits and vegetables, but ate more fast food, snack products and fried foods.
[3] "We're not able to tell why," lead researcher Dr. Daheia J. Barr-Anderson said. "But we do have some speculations." People who spend a lot of time in front of the TV, especially teenagers, may have more snacks. It may influence their long-term diet quality. It's also possible that TV ads for fast food, sweets and snacks make teenagers eat more of those foods. TV time might also replace exercise time for some kids.
[4] The researchers found a clear relationship between TV time during high school and diet quality of the young. The heaviest TV viewers ________ , and those who'd watched fewer than two hours everyday had the most fruits, vegetables.
[5] According to Barr-Anderson, the findings support experts' advice that children should watch no more than two hours of television everyday. "Parents should cut the TV time," Barr-Anderson said. She advised that parents set a good example by eating right, being physically active and controlling their own TV time.

[1]Online advertising is simply advertising that is done on the Internet. While it has a much shorter history than traditional advertising, the effects of online advertising can not be undervalued As more people turn to the Internet as a source for daily news, socialization and communication, more advertising dollars are likely to be spent. In fact, in a period of five years, from 2006 to 2010, online advertising______ 6 percent of all money spent for advertising, to 12 percent or more.
[2]Online advertising is also quickly becoming a serious force for other types of advertising media to deal with. Newspapers and magazines all over the world are facing a number of different challenges, including loss of ad revenue (广告收益). Many attribute (把……归于) some of those struggles to online advertising, which is not only taking a share of the advertising, but a share of the audience as well.
[3]However, newspapers and magazines are not the only media dealing with lower revenue. The remarkable thing about online advertising is it gives the ads a much wider coverage and its globally wider coverage helps in making the advertisements reach more audiences. Furthermore, because of hypertext (超文本) linking, advertisers have the power to transport potential buyers directly to their site.
[4]Online advertising can be presented in many flexible styles. In some cases, it may not look like advertising at all. There was one case. A video that showed popcorn (爆玉米花) being popped by radiation which was put out from mobile phones was put on the website. While this was later revealed as a trick, the company that put the video online received a large amount of attention. The company sold earphones meant to help limit an individual’s exposure to radiation.

[1]Everyone makes mistakes. How do you react when a family member, friend, or a classmate makes a mistake? Some of us may shout out , complain, or punish. Unfortunately, these reactions to mistakes sometimes greatly hurt both sides. In fact, there is a better way to deal with a mistake.
[2]Reframe(重组) "MISTAKE": Change "MISTAKE" into "MIS-TAKE." Doesn't that have a different feeling? Therefore, a mistake is not so bad as expected. We can learn from it and it is likely to lead to success in the end.
[3]Use mistakes as an opportunity for learning. Most of us want to hide our mistakes, but we may be more willing to share our "MIS-TAKES" and let others learn from them. Either an individual or a family can benefit by openly recognizing and correcting mistakes, rather than pretending that they didn't happen. In fact, a mistake, if corrected quickly and in a creative way, can become ___________for learning.
[4]Think of mistakes as opportunities to prove yourself. A mistake becomes an opportunity to create a close friend or customer. For example, in business, studies show that one of the things all customers want is recovery when the organization has made a mistake. They want us to apologize sincerely. With creative thinking, we can make them satisfied with the way we deal with a mistake.
[5] We have learned to allow people around us to make mistakes. Now give them “protection” when they make a mistake. If you give people both permission and protection, you will get along well with them. Show them how they can turn a mistake into learning something about themselves so they don’t make the same mistake again.

Many students find it hard to make friends when they are in high school. Keeping my suggestions in mind may give you a hand. They certainly helped me, and by the end of my three years of high school, I had formed my group of friends, with whom I still keep in touch now.
Here are my tips:
Say hello anytime I see an acquaintance(相识的人).
Because I was always smiling and greeting the people I knew, people naturally thought I was friendly(though I am not naturally sociable). And high school students want to be friends with sociable people.
Take the first step.
All the girls there already knew each other—they didn't need another friend. But I did, so I had to make the effort. I had to be the first one to invite somebody to go to a movie with me, or come to my house. Once I did that they started to respond with the same thing.
Use classes to get to know people.
I met most of my first friends because I sat next to them in class. Class(before, after, or even during class time)is a great opportunity to begin a conversation. For example, ask for help about homework.
Make friends slowly.
I couldn't get discouraged (泄气的) when it took a while to make friends. It really takes some time to make new friends. In a word, ________________________.
Above all, remember that it can and will get better. You may have to work a little to make your high school experience a great one, but it's really worth it!

The school held an activity called “making money” last weekend. About 200 Junior 1 and Junior 2 students were divided into 30 teams. They went out ___________________________. What did they choose to sell? Some sold newspapers;some chose bottled water;some sold environmentally friendly shopping bags and bamboo baskets.
Hu Qing’ s team decided to sell some useful books in front of the Children Activity Center. They thought parents would like to buy the books for their children. Meng Zhaoxiang and his team were luckier. They sold all their cakes in four hours, spending 39.5 Yuan and getting back 80 Yuan.
