I am writing to you from the home of my Aunt Grace and Uncle Jacob in Missouri. We stopped here for a few days to visit and rest. Now I am sitting on Aunt Grace’s chair in the garden alone. We left Pennsylvania seven weeks ago and it was really hard to sit on the covered wagon (有蓬的马车) to travel. It is only seven weeks，but it seems like much more!
Luckily, our journey is almost over. My dad likes the look of the land near St. Louis. He thinks we can have a new home here. And Mom likes the idea of living near Aunt Grace and Uncle Jacob. They wanted to help us build our new home and clear land for our rice field (田地) . Uncle Jacob will also give us a horse and some chickens. It seems we will have a good start.
