In Huston Middle School in Pennsylvanian, US, its music class is very different from yours. The class is in a traditional classroom. But it is a multimedia(多媒体) music class with many high-tech. In the multimedia class, students first learn how to use these tools. Later, they learn to record and compose(作曲)music, make videos, edit photos and use online media. All students must use their skills to make a recording and post it online as their final project.
Music teacher Brain Querry started the multimedia music class this past school year. “I know something about technology(科技), and I also know music,” Querry said, “I asked myself: Why not put them together? I thought it would make the class more interesting, and students would learn more from it.”
It turns out that Querry was right. The class was well-received. Students in the class all like it very much. Catelynn Seinera, 14, said that she enjoys using all the different kinds of high-tech tools. “It’s great to have such a class in our school, ” Seinera said, “Knowing how to make videos is also very useful to me in other classes.”
