A king was once travelling through England. He stopped at an inn(小饭店) in a little village to have breakfast.He ordered some coffee,bread,butter and some eggs.

The inn keeper brought two eggs and the king ate them for breakfast with the bread and butter. When the king asked the inn keeper how much he must pay for his breakfast, the inn keeper answered ,“A hundred pounds,sir.”

The king was very much surprised and said,“What? A hundred pounds for a little bread and butter, a cup of coffee and two eggs? Isn’t it too dear?Eggs must be very few in your village.”

“Oh, no, sir,” answered the inn keeper,“there are so many eggs in our village, but it is kings that are very few today.”
