Have you watched the movie Titanic《泰坦尼克号》in November 1997, starring Leonardo DiCaprio? Because of this famous movie, more and more people started paying attention to the Titanic. The ship sunk on April 15, 1912 and is still resting at the bottom of the North Atlantic Ocean at a depth of 4,000 meters.
London-based tour company Blue Marble Private will run eight-day journeys to see the Titanic closely. In 2018, tourists may have the chance to sail over the ship’s deck (甲板) and even be able to see its staircase (楼梯). A pilot and a deep ocean expert will go with them.
However, the trip will cost 86,500 pounds (about 740,000 yuan) per person. The price is equivalent (等价的) to a first-class ticket to travel on the Titanic in 1912.

APRIL 5 marks the 100th anniversary(周年纪念日)of the sinking(下沉)of the Titanic. In 1997, the movie Titanic was a huge hit all around the world. Now, the 3-D version of the movie will come to Chinese theaters on April 10.
As anyone who has seen the movie knows, the Titanic struck an iceberg(冰山) and sank on its first voyage in 1912, killing 1,517 people. A century after the accident, scientists have found something new to blame(负责任) for the sinking: the moon. Donald Olson, a Texas State University physicist, led a team of astronomers(天文学家) to examine the moon’s role, according to Reuters.
Normally, icebergs stay in place and cannot move until they melt enough or a high tide(潮汐) frees them. A single iceberg can become stuck many times on its journey southward. The process can take several years.
According to Olson, a hundred years ago the moon made its closest approach to the Earth in more than 1,400 years. This caused the moon to have a much stronger pull on the Earth’s oceans than usual, which created a super-high tide. The tide pushed icebergs from shallow waters off the coasts of Canada’s provinces, Newfoundland and Labrador, into the Titanic’s way.
“Of course, the final cause of the accident was that the ship struck an iceberg,” Olson told Reuters. “It went full speed into a region with icebergs, but the lunar connection(月亮的联系) may explain how an unusually large number of icebergs got into the path of the Titanic.”
The research team will publish their research in the April issue of Sky & Telescope magazine.

Have you ever watched movies in a 4D cinema? It is going to be the next wave in movie theatre experience, and it will take your experience to the next level.
The 4D cinema experience has actual smells, mists and vibrations (震动). While you’re watching a movie about water fighting, tiny nozzles (喷嘴)in the seats might let out a mist of water. What about watching a movie about street racing or war? The nozzles can give out the smell of burning rubber or gunpowder (火药). Those all-important little nozzles have about 1,000 options for you, everything from mists to smells.
Seats in the theatre are movable as well. When a car crash happens on the screen, it can also feel like it’s happening in your chair. When you watch 3D movies or TV,you have to wear a special pair of glasses. The 3D glasses make the images from the screen look like they are there in the room with you.
Three-dimensional,or 3D,means having three dimensions(维度) : width, height and depth.3D technology(技术) is based on the way the human brain(大脑) and eyes work.Because the pupils of a person's eyes are about 6.5era apart(分开),when we look at something, each eye sees it from a different angle(角度).Our eyes send the two images to our brain, and the brain puts them together. The small difference between the image from the right eye and the image from the left eye allows us to see depth.
When we view pictures and television in two dimensions, each eye gets the same information. That is because the image has no real depth, and there is only one of viewing it.So the goal of 3D technology is to get a different image into each of the viewer. It uses two film projectors. One projects a left eye image and the other projects a right image. The 3D glasses allow us to see a different image in each eye.
While watching 3D films,we feel that we are in the same environment as the things we're watching. However,it also has its disadvantages. The 3D glasses work by controlling the amount of light that reaches the eyes.It makes the screen look darker. What's more, people with eye problems may get headaches if they spend too much time watching 3D movies, because their brains need to work harder to "read" the images.
1.According to the passage,we can see 3D TV with the help of ____.
A.the exciting games B.the special glasses
C.the dark screen D.the image in the room
2.The second paragraph mainly tells us ____.

B.how 3D films are made
C.what the human brain does for our eyes
D.how different images get into the brain
3.The underlined word "pupils" in the passage means____ in Chinese.
A.学生 B.视线 C.睫毛 D.瞳孔
