Last month I paid a visit the moon with my friend. Before we left, I was told the force of gravity would change three time on our journey. Then we took up. As we left the earth, I became very heavily. Gradually the weight lessen. When I was in space, it was disappeared. We floated weightlessly around in the cabin and I cheered up. When I was on the moon, I was surprising to find even walking needed a bit of practice now that gravity changed. The returning of the earth was very frightened. We were amazed to watch fire broke out on the outside of the ship.

My wife and I were down at the beach and trying to find a place to park in one of the many, and somewhat expensive, public parking lots. We were trying to get down to the beach in time to watch the sunset—one of my all time favorite things to do. After several failed attempts, we finally found one spot in the last lot so we pulled into the only space available.
As we were about to pay the price of parking there, a woman came up to us and said she had just paid for two hours(all the time we needed) but she had just been called back home and asked if we would like to have her parking pass. She refused to take any money for it and insisted that we take it. We gladly accepted it and thanked her for her kindness.
It was truly a “paying it forward” experience that we have often done, but one that hasn’t been done to us that often. I smiled at her with such gratitude. It was more than the price of the parking pass. Accepting the kindness of others is part of this process. We felt that and blessed by that kindness.
We got down to the beach in time to watch the sun setting because of this woman’s kindness and we were so grateful. It was a wonderful experience and the sunset was such a wonderful sight!
1.What problem did the author meet at the beach?
A.He couldn’t afford the parking fee. B.He didn’t find time to watch sunset.
C.He failed to find a good place to relax. D.He met with difficulty when parking his car.
2.Why did the woman give her parking pass to the author?
A.It would be out of date soon. B.She had to go home quickly.
C.It offered too short a parking period. D.She expected the author to watch the sunset on time.
3.What does the underlined word “gratitude” in paragraph 3 mean?
A.Apology. B.Appreciation. C.Regret. D.Sadness.
4.Which can be the best title for the text?
A.The Gift of a Sunset B.A Hard Parking
C.The Beauty of Dawn D.A Woman’s Bad Luck

A strange object was found in a small city called Carlos Spegazzini, just a short drive from the capital city of Buenos Aires.
When farmer Jose first found an odd scene in his farmland, he began to dig at the object. However, he quickly found himself running to tell his wife. Jose needed more support if he was going to investigate this strange thing.
Even the dog was hesitant to investigate. Unfamiliar with the object, man’s best friend was not about to jump at it with little concern. Therefore, they chose to call in somebody who has a better idea of what to do.
When the police first showed up, they were just as stumped as Jose. They knew this object was something out of the ordinary. It might even be something extraordinary, so more questions appeared.
It quickly became apparent, it was time to call in the big guys. That’s right; when you find something that appears to be out-of-this-world, it’s time to call in those who study the mysteries of the old world.
Authorities called in archaeologists who jumped at the chance to study the object. They quickly determined one thing was for certain: the ancient big one that left this behind was absolutely massive! The group was unable to move the shell, as it weighed nearly two tons!
Clearly, this massive beast was not the only of its kind existing in the modem-day world. Similar fossils had been found in the surrounding areas and had even made their way to museums. But what was the ancient beast?

B. The police knew this object was something out-of-this-world as Jose did.
C. The police and Jose all liked to collect stamps.
D. The police were just as stupid as Jose.
3.According to the passage, when we find something that appears to be out-of-this-world, we should ________.
