Jackie Chan was born on 7th  April, 1954 in Hong Kong. His parents went to Hong Kong before he was born so his parents named him Chen Gangsheng, which means “born in Hong Kong”. When Jackie was 7 years old, his family moved to Australia. Later, they got back to Hong Kong. Jackie’s father sent him to Beijing to study and work in 1961. When Jackie was 17, he began to do dangerous performances in films. In the early 1980s, Jackie went to Hollywood, but he wasn’t successful there. He went on to make films in Hong Kong and had great success. Finally, in 1985, Jackie Chan became a movie star in the United States. Today Jackie Chan has fans all over the world.
