Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge to form three-hour travel circle. The 55-kilometer bridge in the Lingdingyang waters of the Pearl River Estuary, which was opened in late October 2018, is the world's longest sea bridge. The project follows the logic that China has been using for years to guide economic development - if you want to get rich, first build a road.
At 20 times the length of California's Golden Gate Bridge, the six-lane crossing will link a regional economic zone of 70 million people, with a combined annual GDP of $1.51 trillion--almost twice that of the San Francisco Bay Area, and larger than the national economies of Australia, Spain or Mexico.
The links are part of a plan to create an integrated(综合的) region that officials have dubbed(被称为) the “Greater Bay Area”. The bridge will put Hong Kong, Macao and Zhuhai within an hour of each other. The main bridge, together with crossing facilities and link roads, is designed to meet growing demands for passenger and freight transport between the three cities. A “three-hour tour and golden circle” will be formed thanks to the massive(巨大的) bridge, road networks and rail links to other cities, making more travel itineraries(旅游活动日程)available.

London Bridge is between the City of London and Southward. It is between Cannon Street Railway Bridge and Tower Bridge. London's original bridge made this one of the most famous bridge in the world.
The first London Bridge is thought to have been built by the Romans sometime in the first century, with several rebuild over the centuries. In the end, wooden bridges were replaced (代替) with a stone bridge, the first one being started in 1176 and finished years later. During its whole history, London bridge has been a busy thoroughfare (通道) and was once lined with shops. The road over the bridge was only about 4 meters wide between the shops. It was not wide enough and it was often crowded with people, horses and cars. In 1773 a keep left rule was enforced (强制执行) to keep the traffic moving. This became the rule of the road in Britain.
In 1757 the houses and shops on the bridge were pulled down. A new bridge was built in 1831 to replace the old one. This in turn was pulled down in 1967 and rebuilt in Lake Havasu City, USA, as a tourist attraction. The present London Bridge opened in 1973.

A road is a bridge between two places. The Silk Road has been a bridge between East and West for more than 2,000 years.
But do you know the Silk Road is not a single route(路线)?
It is a series of trade and cultural transmission (传送) routes. It began during the Western Han Dynasty. Today, places along the Silk Road are great travel destinations, such as the Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an and Mogao Grottoes (莫高窟) in Dunhuang, Gansu. Now, beginning in August, a new train line, the New Orient Express, runs from Beijing across the Silk Road.
