Martin Luther King was a black minister(牧师), who became a great leader of the civil rights movement(民权运动) in the 1950s and 1960s.
King was born on January 15, 1929. in Atlanta, Georgia. When he was young, he was strongly influenced by Thoreau and Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi’s idea of non-violent resistance(非暴力不合作).
