Camping in your backyard is full of fun. It makes us relaxed. It offers chances to enjoy the night sky and we needn’t be as quiet as usual. It makes us close to the outside world. It also lets us have many friends to stay with us! Follow these instructions and you’ll have a night you’ll never forget!
Put up your tent.
How many family members and friends will join? It decides how many tents you need. Tell your friends to bring their tents if needed. Remember to learn about how to put up a tent on the Internet.
Prepare your bedding.
Put something soft to lie on on the floor. An air mattress (床垫) may work well. Fill the tent with soft toys and blankets. Have sleeping bags and cotton blankets. They are important if it gets too cool in the night.
Prepare a seating area.
A picnic table is the best. Or you can set up a few chairs and a small table to put drinks and food on. You can also lay out (铺开) a blanket in the sun. Be sure the grass isn’t wet!
Make memories.
Plan some activities. You’re camping in the backyard, so it’s time to make memories of being outdoors. Have a camera to take photos of them. Take one large group shot with everyone smiling and laughing. Be sure to make copies for all of you.

Last summer, we went hiking to mountains in the countryside. On the top of the mountains, we enjoyed cool wind quietly near our ears. And we watched white clouds walking freely in the sky, clear streams running happily in the valley (山谷), and insects flying gladly in the air.
We were happy to wild flowers and fruits, and caught beautiful butterflies in the valley. I lay on the grass to watch the sky and enjoyed the peace of the valley. Suddenly a tiny insect flew into my left ear. It made so many noises that I feel . So I covered my ears to stop the air from entering my ear. My friends helped me to find some to get the insect out, but failed.
“The insect must in the valley. It happened to fly into the your ear.” a little girl said , “I’ve an idea.”
She led me to a dark place, and covered my right ear. Then she used a torch (手电筒) to light my left ear. I felt comfortable slowly. In the torch , an insect flew out of my left ear.
Maybe we needn’t about the insects that flew into our ears. Give some light to them, they will fly towards the light.

A computer can get very hot when it works on a lot of programs. It can cost a lot to cool the computer. So some scientists want to know what would happen if the heat from the computer could be used.
Large Internet companies such as Google and Microsoft have thousands of computers. As these computers deal with information, they produce lots of heat, so they need huge cooling systems. These systems send the heat into the air.
A company in Holland thinks paying to make the computers work and then paying again to cool them are a waste of energy. So the company developed a special device—the e-Radiator.
Boaz Leupe, head of the company, says that e-Radiator works as a heating system and saves money. He explains that the energy is used twice—once to heat the home and once to cool the computer and that the users don’t have to pay to cool their computers.
Five homeowners in Holland are testing the heating system in their homes.
“We pay for the computer using, so, in that way, homeowners get heating for free.” Boaz says.
Jan Visser is one of the homeowners. “If you use the computer more, the e-Radiator producers more heat,” he says, “It cannot provide enough heat if you don’t use your computer often.” But he is ready to try it. It’s a great help for his family.
The company says e-Radiators produce heat temperatures of up to 55℃. It says the system could save its users about $440 a year.
