Have you ever watched the big parade(游行) on Tian’anmen Square on October 1? Some students performed in the big parade. In order to get ready for(准备) it, this summer, many Beijing middle school students had a different kind of vacation. Lang Ping was born on December 10th, 1960 in Tianjin, China. She showed great interest in volleyball at a young age. Lang Ping started practicing volleyball in April 1973 and trained hard. In 1978, she started to play for the Chinese national team. She won many world competitions, including the World Championship crown in 1982 and a gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics.
