高一英语图画作文困难题查看答案及解析
Last night, I found my mother sit with her legs crossed on the sofa, looking through her iPhone with her glasses. This is not the first time I have caught her like this. My father once tapped (敲) away on his phone with a serious look on his face, saying the “I’ll be with you shortly” line. I have learned by now that this is to tell me to leave him alone for the next 10 minutes. Although they don’t like admitting it, both of my parents couldn’t go without their phones as I do.
Growing up, we are repeatedly reminded that we are those who prefer to text our friends in the same room rather than make eye contact with them. We are ruining the English language because we like using heart-eyes emojis (表情符号) instead of spelling it out. And even though I can recognize myself as a social media (媒体) addict, I think parents should at least consider that not only the young generation (代), but also they like phones.
I get upset when I receive the “I’ll be with you shortly” line from a parent. But, at the same time, leaving the room to wait until my father is finished with his “serious business” has now become the norm.
Whether you want to escape your noisy children for a while, or want to stay up late tapping through Twitter, all of these are common. But you should fully understand it. We—your children—know how addictive it can be and how difficult it is to turn it off. So before calling us out and telling us to “put our phones away at the table” or even worse, saying how damaging social media can be to us, maybe you should lead by example and consider how much time you spend on the phone as well as how this is influencing your children and your relationship with them. Maybe in this way we can work on our addiction together.
1.What can we learn about the author’s parents?
A.They become addicted to phones like him.
B.They’ve been forced to use phones by him.
C.They like buying their phones online at home.
D.They often communicate with him by phone.
2.What is the young generation’s weakness according to paragraph 2?
A.Having fewer chances to learn social skills.
B.Failing to express themselves in a right way.
C.Getting angry easily when facing their parents.
D.Giving up the ways of communicating directly.
3.What does the underlined word “norm” in paragraph 3 mean?
A.Fixed tradition. B.Accepted behavior.
C.Expected decision. D.Unforgettable experience.
4.What advice is given to parents in the last paragraph?
A.Behaving well in front of children. B.Putting the phones away at the table.
C.Taking more time to stay with children. D.Having good communication with children.

Surprises are beautiful because they come without waiting. It was not so true for Nancy though. She was sure her younger sister, Kate, was planning a surprise for her birthday. Opening the curtains of her bedroom window, she hungrily drank in the fresh morning air. Nancy was turning 30 today. “Keep calm. It’s only your 30th birthday.” she thought to herself, quickly glancing at the mirror and looking away. She never liked looking at the mirror. It always reminded her of what she had suffered. She didn’t want to think of the past and all that it had done to her.
Over these years she had worked at different factories and cleaned the floors at big hotels where perfumed men and women floated easily. Ever since their parents died, her only goal was to educate Kate. Nancy didn’t go to her dreamy university. Her emotions came running back to the present. Quickly, she wiped her tears and rushed to the door.
“A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost.” Kate was her dream, her hope, her happiness and her precious possession. She meant everything to her. Kate was so outstanding that she was admitted to Harvard University. And today, Nancy was sure Kate would surprise her with a gift like she did every year. Nancy imagined the freshly baked chocolate cake that would welcome her. Her tongue was eager to lick up the soft, brown cream and her teeth were ready to bite it. She heard the sound of Kate’s footsteps coming towards her. She waited smiling.
It seemed like an endless wait. Finally, she heard her younger sister approaching her room. Her eyes lit up, steps turned into a spring and her heart was pounding. She sniffed the air to catch a breath of the chocolate cake but she couldn’t. “Maybe it is not chocolate flavor this time.” she imagined with pride. Her sister was a grown-up now. She could surprise her with something else.

As the cob(雄天鹅) flew towards Billings city, all sorts of troublesome thoughts filled in his head. He had never gone looking for a trumpet(小号) before. He had no money. He feared he might arrive after the shops had closed. He realized that in the whole continent he was undoubtedly the only cob on his way to a city to get a trumpet.
“This is a great adventure,” he said to himself. “Yet it is a noble searching. I will do anything to help my son Louis, even if I run into real trouble.”
Towards the end of the afternoon, the cob finally saw the churches, factories, shops and homes of Billings city. He circled, looking for a music store. Suddenly he found one. It had a very big, wide window, solid结实的) glass. The cob flew lower for a better look. A guitar, a piano, violins and then he saw what he wanted—a trumpet hanging by a shelf.
“Now it’s my time to act!” he said to himself. “Now it’s my moment for risking everything on one brave move, however shocking it may be to my emotions, however offensive(冒犯的) it may be to the laws that govern the lives of men. Here I go! May good luck go with me!”

高一英语提纲类作文困难题查看答案及解析
Not long ago, Egypt marked the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Suez Canal. The canal connects the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. It helped speed world trade between the East and the West. But the man-made waterway has also helped speed the rise of other things, such as invasive(入侵的)non-native species (物种). Scientists say the invasive creatures have damaged the Mediterranean’s environment and caused native species to disappear.
The number of non-native creatures has risen since the Suez Canal was widened in 2015. The “New Suez Canal” has raised concerns in Europe and brought disagreement from many Mediterranean countries. Bella Galil is an Israeli biologist who has studied the Mediterranean for over 30 years. She says much of the ecological(生态的)damage cannot be repaired. She said urgent action is needed to ease the effects of the invasive fish and other sea life.
Galil works at Tel Aviv University’s Steinhardt Museum of Natural History. She noted that the widening and deepening of the Suez Canal has created a “moving aquarium” of species. These creatures could make coastal waters almost unusable for human beings. Galil believes the number of invasive species has reached 400. That is twice the number 30 years ago. She said this is a “historic example of the dangers of unintended consequences.”
Israel is now dealing with huge numbers of poisonous(有毒的) jellyfish that affect coastal power centers and keep people from visiting the seashore. Other poisonous species, such as the lionfish and silver-cheeked toadfish, are also appearing.
Galil said the problems of invasive species can be compared to those of climate change, pollution and over-fishing. She argues that the new species have caused a major “restructuring” of the environment. This has endangered native species.
Some experts have suggested that increasing salt levels in the canal itself could create a barrier(障碍物) that would keep invasive species out.
1.What lesson can we learn from the effects of the Suez Canal?
A.Seeing is believing. B.Every coin has two sides.
C.Let nature take its course. D.Everyone makes mistakes.
2.What’s the attitude of many Mediterranean countries towards the“New Suez Canal"?
A.Uncaring. B.Unclear. C.Supportive. D.Against.
3.What is the ecological environment like after the Suez Canal reconstruction?
A.It is from bad to worse. B.It remains the same.
C.It improves a great deal. D.It has become a completely new one.
4.Why did Galil mention climate change, pollution and over-fishing in paragraph 5?
A.To add some background information. B.To stress the harm of invasive species.
C.To solve the problem of invasive species. D.To compare their similarities and differences.
