A rich man lost a piece of clothing. In it, he hid a lot of coins, so he must find it. He decided to give 100 coins to the finder.

An honest man found it and decided to give it back, but the rich man didn’t want to pay 100 coins, so he came up with an idea. He opened up the clothes and counted the coins.

“I can only find 700 coins,” he said. “You must have taken away 100 coins!”

The honest man was so angry. Then they came to a judge(法官) and told him about their story. The judge let them swear(发誓) what they were saying was true. Both did! Then the judge said to the honest man, “The rich man lost the clothing with 800 coins, so the piece you found cannot be his. I advise that you take it home and keep it in a safe place until its true owner comes to ask for it.”

At last, the judge said to the rich man, “You lost the clothing with 800 coins, so this piece that the honest man found cannot be yours. I advise that you go home and wait for your clothes with 800 coins.”
