Everyone loves toys because they’re fun to play with and they always make you think of the good old days of your childhood.

Always remember: condition, year, and price, the 3 most important things to buy a toy. If the toy is quite old, in great shape, and at a good price then you’ve hit the jackpot (中了头彩)!

Many musicians meet and form (组成) a band because they like to write and play their own music. They may start as a group of high school students and practice their music in someone’s house. Sometimes they may play to passers-by in the street or subway so that they can get some money for themselves or pay for their instruments (乐器).
However, there was one band that started in a different way. It was called the Monkees and was formed in 1965. It began as a TV show. The TV show had planned to find four rock musicians who could act as well as sing. But they could only find one who was good enough. They had to use actors for the other three members of the band.

Anyway, their performances were excellent and they got lots of fans. Each week on TV, the Monkees would pretend to play and sing songs written by other musicians. After a year or so, they became more serious about their work. They started to play and sing their own songs like a real band. Then they produced (制作) their own records and started touring and playing their own music. In the USA they became even more influential and popular than the Beatles and sold even more records.
However, the band broke up around 1970, but happily they reunited (重聚) in the 1980s. They produced a new record in 1996 to celebrate their time as a band. It was very successful. Today the Monkees are still making music for their millions of fans.

Hi, Louis!
I’m writing to tell you something about the customs(风俗) and festivals.
Everyone loves holidays since one doesn’t need to go to school or work. Although all holidays mean no school and work, but not all of them are the same. On some of them you go out with friends; on others you stay home to eat, talk, and have fun with your family. For example in the USA, everyone thinks New Year’s Eve and New Year are both for playing with friends. Christmas is the time to stay home and exchange gifts with family members. The opposite (相反) is true in Japan though. For example, in Japan, New Year is for spending time with the family to eat, talk, have fun, and go to the temples. But Christmas is for boy and girl friends to go out and exchange gifts. Originally Christmas should be to celebrate(庆祝) the birth of Christ.
I have been interested in foreign customs since I was little. If you learn these different holiday customs, you will learn about different histories and cultures. This is much more interesting than learning them at the library from morning to evening.
Loves,
Judge the following sentence true(T) or (F)

3.All the countries have the same way to celebrate the holidays.
