"We have become very good at collecting plenty of information, but we are also gradually forgetting deep reading and thinking."

Slow reading means a return to a continual, linear pattern（线性模式）, in a quiet environment. "Aim for 30 minutes a day," advises Kelly from The Atlantic. "You can spare that time pretty easily if only during your free moments—whenever you find yourself turning on your laptop to check your favorite site, or looking through WeChat for something to pass the time –then you can enjoy a meaningful book."
