Last Sunday Sue had a very happy birthday party. Many of her friends came over to her party and gave her many gifts.

Tom gave her a book called Harry Potter. When Sue opened Lily’s gift, she was very surprised. “Oh！” Sue said to her mother. “Ah Xiang, Ah He, Ah Ru, Ah yi, Le Yangyang! What beautiful Guangzhou Asian Games mascots (吉祥物)！”And then she asked her mother.

“But Mom, what about your gift?”

“Go and look for it in your bedroom.”Mom said. Sue ran quickly to her room. On her bed she saw a small red box. There was nothing but a card in it. It read:

“Dear Sue, I’m your gift. My first three letters are the same as in the word ‘come’. My last two letters are the same as in the word “water’. My middle three letters are in the word “put”. What am I?”

Sue thought for a few minutes, and then said, “Oh, Great! Thank you, Mom”.
