Jenet went down the long stairs with a lot of people around her. It was her first time to take the underground. It made her nervous. Next she had to go down to a hall to buy a ticket. It was $1.60. That was cheap. With so many people taking the underground, it didn’t have to be expensive.

With her ticket in hand , she followed the lines of people and got to the underground hall. The noises made her nervous. She had to follow the colored lines on the wall. She needed the orange line. There were purple, blue , green, and red lines on the walls too, but she ignored them. She followed the orange line down to a platform (站台).

Some people were waiting for their subway train by standing there. Other people were buying drinks from machines. A person was selling magazines and newspapers. Janet didn’t have money to spend, so she stood there and read the advertisement posters(广告海报)when she waited.

The subway train came . Janet went with the other people . Janet stood by the door because there were no seats for her. She looked around the crowded subway train and smiled. It was pretty fun!
