For many people in North America,the last week was the coldest of the year.To help some poor people keep warm,some kind people tied(系)scarves(丝巾)to trees in big cities for people in need.

“I AM NOT LOST!”said a message on a scarf tied to a tree in Wilmington. “If you need this to stay warm,please take it.It is yours .Be warm and do something to help other people today if  you can.”

The boy from a teenage soccer team put many of the scarves around Wilmington.They bought about 300 scarves for poor people and left them on the Bloomsday runner statues (雕塑)in Riverfront Park with messages like the one above.(上述)。
