Have you ever had problems in your life and don't know how to be happy? If so, you will find "Being a happy teenager" by an Australian writer Andrew Matthews useful.
In his book, Matthews tells us how to have a happy life and answers the questions of teenagers.
The book says we should stop being angry. The book also tells us about some useful skills. For example, if you want to make our memory better, you can put what you've learned into pictures in your mind. Many teenagers think that happiness comes from good grades or praise(表扬)from other people. But you can still be happy when there are no such "good" things.
Success comes from a good attitude(态度). If you learn from problems, you will have success in the future. Some school boys have problems such as being too tall or too short, but Mathews tells us happiness comes from thinking about things in a positive(积极的) way. If you are tall, you can get a better view; if you are short, your clothes and shoes take less room in your bedroom! This is Matthews' most important lesson: You choose to be happy!
根据短文内容,判断句子正(T)误(F).
1.Matthews's book "Being a happy teenager" is helpful for those who feel unhappy.
2.Matthews's book "Being a happy teenager" answers questions of teenagers.
3.Many teenagers think good grades are not so important.
4.If you think in another way, an unhappy thing may become a happy thing.
5.According to Matthew, a tall boy has more advantages(优势) than a short boy.

八年级英语单选题困难题查看答案及解析
When you cut your skin, you bleed (流血). If a person loses a lot of blood (血液), he will become ill and may die. Blood is very important. People have always known that. At one time, some people even drank blood to make them strong!
When doctors understand how blood goes around inside the body, they try ways of giving blood to people who need it. They take blood from healthy people and give it to people who need it. This is called "blood transfusion" (输血). The blood goes from the arm of a healthy person into the arm of a sick person.
But there are two problems. First, it does not always work. Sometimes people die when they have blood transfusion. Later, doctors find that we do not all have the same kind of blood. There are four groups---O, A, B and AB. We all have blood of one of these groups. They also find that they can give any kind of blood to people of group AB. But they find that they can only give A-group blood to A-group people and B-group blood to B-group people. I have O-group blood and the doctor told me that I could give blood to anyone else safely.
There is another problem. To give blood of the right kind, doctors have to find a person of the right blood group. Often they can not find a person in time. If they have a way to keep the blood until someone needs it, they can always have the right kind of blood available. At first they find they can keep it in bottles for fifteen to twenty days. They do this by making it very cold. Then they find how to keep it longer. In the end they find a way of keeping blood for a very long time. We call a place where we keep money a "bank".
We call a place where we keep blood a "blood bank". One day, when you grow up, you may decide to give blood to a "blood bank". In this way you may stop someone from dying. Or perhaps one day you may become ill. You may need blood. The "blood bank" will give it to you in time.
1.From the passage, we learn that sometimes people die when they have blood transfusions because they ________.
A. are unhealthy people B. have lost a lot of blood
C. are not given the right kind of blood D. are AB-group people
2.Which of the following is true?
A. Doctors can give any kind of blood to the writer.
B. The writer can give blood to any other people safely.
C. The writer has never had a blood transfusion
D. The writer has the same kind of blood as his father.
3.People set up (建立) the "blood bank" so that they can ________.
A. give the right kind of blood to the people who need it in time
B. keep different groups of blood as much as possible
C. make it easier to sell or buy blood
D. keep blood for more than twenty hundred years
4.From the last paragraph of the passage, we learn that ________.
A. the writer thinks it's good to give blood to a "blood bank"
B. we may become ill if we give blood to a "blood bank"
C. many people died because they lost a lot of blood
D. blood is more important than money

You may feel worried, upset or disappointed in your life. If you feel so, you’d better do something about it. Just read the following tips (小建议) to find out some ways to fight depression (抑郁情绪) .
First, try to find out the troubles that have worked on your depression. When you know what has got you to feel blue, talk about it with a caring friend. Talking is a way to relax the mind. Ask for help if you need it. Friends and family can help let depression go instead of just watching you hurt.
Second, take a walk for 15 or 30 minutes every day—or dance, or bike if you prefer. If you need to be encouraged, make yourself do exercise anyway. Once you get into the exercise habit, it won’t take long to notice a difference in your mood.
Next, depression can affect影响 a person’s thoughts, making everything seem hopeless. If depression makes you notice only the bad things, try to notice the good things. There are both good things and bad things in life. The more good things you notice , the less depression you’ll feel.
Then, try to do something fun for yourself. For example, you can take time to play with a friend or a pet. You can do something that you are interested in, such as painting, singing and so on. You can also find something to laugh about—a funny movie, a joke… Perhaps laughing can help cheer you up.
Finally, please remember that depression takes time to heal (治愈). So most of all, don’t forget to be patient with yourself.
