Is it wrong to use someone else’s wireless(Wi-Fi) connection?Just recently,a man was arrested for doing just that.At that time,he was sitting in the street with a laptop(便携式电脑)and using an unsecured(无安全保护措施)wireless connection to surf the Net.What do you think about this topic?Listen to the following different views on it.
For a start,if someone is using your Internet service or downloading, this will affect your speed of access or download limit. Also,it’s bad for Internet service providers. They will suffer in the long run because fewer people will pay for an Internet service if they know they can get it for free. And finally, just imagine this:what if the person who is stealing your Internet connection is involved in an illegal activity?I think the police are totally right to arrest these criminals.
—by Sandra Wilkins
Basically,if the person who paid for the service still has everything they paid for, what’s the problem? It’s just like using the light from streetlamps to read your book,or watching someone else’s firework display. It’s not stealing.
Also,if you leave your wireless connection unsecured, then it is your own fault(过错)if someone else uses it.Just as you wouldn’t leave your front door unlocked,or your car door open, neither should you leave your wireless connection open.By leaving your wireless connection open, you are inviting people to use it.Securing your wireless connection is as easy as clicking a few settings on your router(路由器).And finally, haven’t the police got more important crimes to solve? They’re always saying how they haven’t got the manpower to solve real issues. But this is just ridiculous(荒谬的).

Photography(摄影) has been my interest ever since I was old enough to pick up a camera, but today I want to share with you the 15 most treasured(珍贵的)photos of mine, and I didn't take any of them. In fact, most of them were taken by random(随机的)tourists.
My story begins when I was in New York City for a speech, and my wife took a picture of me holding my daughter on her first birthday. We're on the corner of 57th and 5th. We happened to be back in New York exactly a year later, so we decided to take the same picture.
Well you can see where this is going. Approaching(临近) my daughter's third birthday, my wife said, "Hey, why don't you take Sabina back to New York and make it a father-daughter trip, and continue the ceremony?" This is when we started asking passing tourists to take the picture.
So these photos are far more than representatives(代表) for a single moment, or even a specific(具体的) trip. They're also ways for us to freeze time for one week in October and reflect on(反思) our times and how we change from year to year, and not just physically, but in every way. Because while we take the same photo, our viewpoints(观点) change, and she reaches new milestones (里程碑) and I get to see life through her eyes, and how she communicates with and sees everything. This very focused time we get to spend together is something we value(重视,珍惜) and expect the entire(全部的) year.

My husband hasn't stopped laughing about a funny thing that happened to me. It's funny now but it wasn't at the time.
Last Friday, after doing all the family shopping in town, I wanted a rest before catching the train, so I bought a newspaper and some chocolate and went into the station coffee shop - that was a cheap self-service place with long tables to sit at. I put my heavy bag down on the floor, put the newspaper and chocolate on the table to keep a place, and went to get a cup of coffee.
When I went back with the coffee, there was someone in the next seat. It was one of those wild-looking youngsters, with dark glasses and worn clothes, and hair colored bright red at the front. Not so unusual these days. What did surprise me was that he'd started to eat my chocolate!
Naturally, I was annoyed. However, to avoid trouble - and really I was rather uneasy about him - I just looked down at the front page of the newspaper, tasted my coffee and took a bit of chocolate. The boy looked at me closely. Then he took a second piece of my chocolate. I could hardly believe it. Still I didn't dare to start an argument. When he took a third piece, I felt more angry than uneasy. I thought, "Well, I shall have the last piece." And I got it.
The boy gave me a strange look, and then stood up. As he left he shouted out. "This woman's crazy!" Everyone stared. That was embarrassing enough, but it was worse when I finished my coffee and got ready to leave. My face went red - as red as his hair - when I realized I'd made a mistake. It wasn't my chocolate that he'd been taking. There was mine, unopened, just under my newspaper.

A. always went shopping with her family on Fridays

C. bought some chocolate so that she could keep a place at the table
D. wanted a newspaper and some chocolate to take home to her family

A. too tired to start an argument
B. more and more angry with the boy
C. too shy to look in the boy's direction
D. more and more disappointed at losing the chocolate
3.The woman's face turned red ________.
A. because she hated being shouted at
B. because she saw everyone staring at her
C. because she realized that the boy was poor and angry
D. because she realized that she had been quite wrong about the boy
4.From the story we can see the woman ________.
A. was crazy
B. was being careless
C. often made mistakes
D. was careless and selfish
