One day Rosa wrote to her friend, who was a doctor, invite him to
have dinner with her families. A few days later the doctor wrote back
to her but she couldn’t read his writing because the letters were
written careless. Then she asked her husband for the help, but he
couldn’t read it, too. Then her husband got an idea. He told her that a
chemist might be able read the doctor’s letter. So the woman went to
the chemist’s. The chemist in the shop studied the letter for a long
time but he gave her large bottle of medicine. He told the woman she
should eat twelve pills a day. Finally Rosa still had no idea whether her
friend will come or not.

In order to realize his dream, Bill Gates, richest man in the world, gave up studying in Harvard University, that is the most famous in the world. He set up a company and researching the computer software. As an old saying go, “Interest is the best teacher.” I quite agree with this idea. I began to be crazy about English when I was a little girl. I got extreme interested in foreign cultures or customs. To meet me curiosity, I read in English stories every day. It seemed to be the best “meal” of a day. As a result, I always did very well in English exam. Interest is the key of success.

My classmate, Hanks, have been sick in hospital for a week. Yesterday our class
decided send him some flowers and asked me to buy the flowers. I have had a hard time get them since then. I went to town immediate after class yesterday afternoon only to find the flowers shop there already closed. So I returned with nothing. I called it many times at this morning, but the line was always busy. While I finally got through at noon, a lady said she was a new hand and can not tell me the prices. Australian bio-geneticist James Dale visited Uganda, a poor African country, in early 2000s. There, he found that 15-30 percent of children under 5 was at risk of going blind because of they did not get enough Vitamin A. Dale also learned that people there love bananas. They eat three to eleven bananas a day. So he came out with the idea to plant bananas containing added nutritions. He believed that these bananas could improve Ugandan’s healthy. Under the help of Bill Gates’ foundation, in 2014, Dale developed the “super banana”. He added a gene to the fruit, thus made it rich of Vitamin A. I am angry about the behavior of dishonest in exams. This doesn’t mean I’ve never cheated. I once write the answers on my hand for a history test, but unluckily caught by my teacher. Nowadays, many people complain to their poor achievements in study. Some are eager to know others’ secrets to succeed, thinking that they should have mastered some specially ability in study. In fact, only by practising a lot can we become skillful at doing nothing. Do you know why a baby learns to speak? He practised his mother tongue day and night and finally becomes fluent in them.
