On the beaches of southern California, teenagers invented words to describe what they felt when they surfed. These words found its way into the high schools and then to other places. Similar changes happen among young people in Ireland and Australia. Children from one group would find ways to play with another group more easily. Often they made new words just develop an identity different from their parents.

The water we drink and use was running short. We all have to learn what to stop wasting water. One of the steps that we should take are to find ways of reusing it. Today in the most large cities, fresh water is used only once and then it runs in waste system. But that is possible to pipe the used water to a purifying factory, there the used water can be treated with chemical materials by the workers so that it can reused. But even if every large city purified and reused it’s water, we still would have enough water.

Nowadays, with the growing popularity of computers, students were paying less and less attention to handwriting.
According to a recently survey, many students don’t want to improve their handwriting for various reason. 52 percent of them think that they can just use a computer, so it is no need to waste time improve their handwriting. 32 percent believe that they are too busy with the study that we have no time to practise, and 16 percent think that practising handwriting is useless.
What the saying goes, writing style shows the man. Beautiful and neat handwriting is great benefit, especially for students. Therefore, in my opinion, the more importance should be attached to handwriting from now on.

Last Sunday, I didn’t get up early as usually. In the morning after I finished my homework, I do some washing. Then I telephoned one of my classmates, invite him to see a film. After that, we were about to go home then we saw our English teacher, Ms Gao, coming into the school gate. She told us we had made great progresses in English. Thank you for the lovely day we have with you．It was so kind for you to let us bring Anne’s friend, Gina．Unfortunate, the only problem was the journey home．There had been a terrible accident on the highway and , for a result, there was a long line of traffic for at least six mile．In the end, we drove to a service station and waited there unless the road was clear．In the car parking here Gina nearly got knocked over as car drove out far too quickly from behind a lorry．They finally dropped Gina off at her parents’ and made our own way to home．

On thanksgiving morning I got up early to run in a race . It was just above freezing. So every runner was jumping around trying to stay warmly.

I like music very much, pop songs particularly. Every evening then I am doing homework and at weekends when I at home, I always play some of my favorite songs on my tape recorder.
