I want the world to be a better one because I am in it. However, “changing the world” isn’t easy. Here are some great ways to change it for the better.
Smile at Everyone.
1.. Smile at people--the folks on the bus, or the receptionist at the office, for instance. Depending on your culture, you might feel a bit awkward or shy at first. 2.. People would respond brilliantly to a smile. Take it further: Give out free hugs.
Write a Letter to Someone You Love.
If a letter takes too long, write a card or postcard to your parents, or a relative who you don’t see often but who you care deeply about. 3.. Take it further: Write to a sick child, or a stranger in trouble. Your letter or card could make his or her day special.
4..
Being creative is a good way. It’s not necessarily big things-but your poem, painting, special recipe, blog post, etc. may impress others. Take it further: Offer your creative skills to a local youth group, school or retirement home. You could play a game, run a class, organize a concert...
Say “Thank you”.
Saying a heartfelt “thank you” means a huge amount to someone. If you’re a manager at work, take time to thank your men for what they do. 5.. Take it further: Write, phone or email someone in your community to thank them for the role they play.
A. Let them know how special they are to you.
B. Keeping writing will surely improve your social skills.
C. Give it a try anyway!
D. In your family, appreciate your partner, parents or kids.
E. It’s such a tiny thing, but it really does work.
F. Speak less and do more.
G. Create something unique.

There are some places in the world that one wants to return again and again. After my first visit to Boracay, a small island in the Philippines, in March of last year, I knew that I would return soon. I was there again in April this year.
It was on the island that I first tried kite-surfing. The Bulabog Beach on the eastern side of Boracay has many wind-surfing and kite-surfing sports centers. I randomly chose a center, which happened to be an affiliation(附属机构)of International Kiteboarding Organization.
The organization has training centers around the world, and some of its courses are tailored for beginners like me. The center on Boracay has different courses, from recreational to professional. In the recreational category, trainees have to do the“discovery”level before they go on to more advanced levels.
My instructor Brian, who was from the United States, adhered(坚持, 遵守)strictly to the center’s rules about levels, and began the training by asking me to set up the kite on the sand, which was the very first step at the ground level of the“discovery”course. I had a teammate, and we both couldn’t wait to have the feeling of riding with the wind on the surface of the water.
But we had to practice at length the various skills for assessing the direction of the wind and the movements of our bodies. I was there in March, which was still the windy season on the island. Because of the winds, the Philippines were important on the ancient maritime trade route. They call the wind Amihan, or trade winds.
From September to May the year before, the hills on the northern and southern ends of the island channel the Amihan wind from the east onshore, and onto the Bulabog Beach on the eastern coast of the island.

D. It only offers visitors training of kite-surfing.

Want to see 16 sunrises in one day? Float in zero gravity? Be one of the few to have gazed upon our home planet from space? In just four years’ time, and for an astronomical $9.5 million dollars, it’s claimed you can.
What’s being billed as the world’s first luxury space hotel, Aurora Station, was announced Thursday at the Space 2.0 Summit in San Jose, California. Developed by US-based space technology start-up Orion Span, the fully modular space station will host six people at a time, including two crew members, for 12-day trips of space travel. It plans to welcome its first guests in 2022.
“Our goal is to make space accessible to all,” Frank Bunger, CEO and founder of Orion Span, said in a statement. “Upon launch, Aurora Station goes into service immediately, bringing travelers into space quickly and at a lower price point than ever seen before.” While a $10 million trip is outside the budget of most people’s two-week vacations, Orion Span claims to offer a real astronaut experience.
During their 12-day adventure, the super-rich travelers will fly at a height of 200 miles above the Earth’s surface in Low Earth Orbit, or LEP, where they will see incredible views of the blue planet. The hotel will orbit Earth every 90 minutes, which means guests will see around 16 sunrises and sunsets every 24 hours.
Activities on board include taking part in research experiments such as growing food while in orbit--which guests can take home for a super-smug souvenir—and soaring over their hometown. Guests can have live video chats with their less-fortunate loved ones back home via high-speed wireless Internet access and, upon return to Earth, will be greeted with a specially arranged hero’s welcome. While enjoying the thrills of zero gravity, the travelers will be able to float freely through the hotel, taking in views of the northern and southern Aurora from the station’s windows.
