Last Sunday I saw a worst storm in years. It came sudden and went on for over three hours. After lunch, I went into my room to have a rest. The air was hotter, and all is quiet. Then a strong wind started to blow into my room. Pieces of paper on my desk flew high into the air and some flew out the open window. As I ran out to catch them, big drop of rain began to fall. When I came back into house, it was raining harder and harder. I tried very hard to close the window. Then I heard a loudly crashing(碰撞的)sound from the back of the house. When I ran out of my room to find out what had happened: a big tree had fallen down and broke the top of the backroom.

I just come back from Britain last week. I was luckily enough to be one of the student from different countries to visit the UK from Feb.16 to 28. We paid a visit to many places, like London, Oxford or the Lake District. I learned much about British culture and history in London, where was my favorite. I also liked Oxford, in which I saw much more old buildings. The Lake District was beautiful, but it was pity that it rained heavily when they were there. The most excited thing for me in the Britain was that I made a lot of friends there.

My father and I stayed at the South Lake Hotel for a week when we visit Beijing last month. It is in the downtown area, but it is easy to go to anywhere from the hotel by public transport. We lived in a comfortably double-room with a big bath. What I liked best were the free high-speed Internet connection in the room. I checked my email messages every day. I also shared for my friends many photos taking in Beijing. The food was wonderful with reasonable prices, and we enjoyed several local dish. It is such great hotel that I would recommend it to any friend of me who is going to Beijing.

However, I was sent to the nearest hospital as soon as possible. The doctor suggested that I rested until next Friday. I hope the change will not cause you too much troubles.

One month before, with the College Entrance Examination around the corner, 1 was nervous and in low spirit because of my poor performance. When l was at the loss and on the point of giving up, my head teacher comforted me and discuss with me the reasons for my failure in the exam. More unforgettable, he managed to help me with my study and inspired us. Determined to live to the expectations of my teachers and parents, I devoted myself to solve all the problems in my study and then made progress. I'm more than grateful for that he has done for me, from which I've got to know it is never too much late to get back when there is still a hope.

The day before yesterday, I went to the bookstore which is near our school to buy the reference book. It was Saturday, so there was many people. With the helps of the shop assistants, I quickly got the book I needed. I was about to leave while I found someone trying to steal a man’s money. Although I was nervous, but I tried to think of a way to help. Suddenly, a good idea occurred me. I stepped on the man’s foot deliberate. As expected, the man’s scream gives the thief a fright, who quickly walked out of the shop. After hear my explanation, the man smiled and showed great gratitude to her.
