第二节:阅读表达(满分15分)
Youth is a kind of wealth. It will gradually disappear with the time passing. We must treasure the time when we are young in order not to waste the most valuable things in our life.
What can we do not to waste our youth? In my opinion, the first thing is to realize our value, our ideas. I believe that everyone has his or her own ideas, maybe he or she wants to be an artist, drawing beautiful pictures; maybe to be a manager, setting up a big company; maybe to be a doctor, saving patients’ lives; maybe to be a singer,________. No matter what our ideas are, we must try hard to achieve them. When we are young, we are full of vitality( 活力 ).We have the best conditions in our lives, good memories, good understanding and so on. We should make full use of these conditions to study more in order to enrich our mind so as not to make our ideas only dreams forever.
For another, we should do as many things as possible we want to do (of course, they must be lawful) to enrich our lives, making it colorful and gathering many different experiences which are worth recalling when we are old.
Then when we are really old, when we can not move any more , we can be proud of our achievements, can recall those things we have experienced and we can say we have no regret in our lives.
So, now, act, for ourselves when we are young.

If you look outside, you probably will see some kind of insect. If your first instinct is to kill it, take a moment to think about all of the benefits insects provide to the environment.
Entomologists, scientists who study insects, estimate that there are more than 800,000 species of insects found throughout the world. Only a few hundred of these insects are considered harmful. Mosquitoes, for example, are considered harmful. They bite humans and other animals, and their bites can cause skin pain and spread disease. Desert locusts also are considered harmful because they destroy crops causing billions of dollars in damage each year.
However, the number of helpful insect species far outweighs the number of harmful species. Some insects make up a vital part of the food chain. Many different birds, reptiles, fish and even plants eat insects. There are also about 500 insects that people in various parts of the world eat. These insects are considered delicious food and prized for their high protein, mineral, and vitamin content. Other insects produce valuable commercial products such as silk, wax, and honey.
Of all the insects, perhaps the most important are those that travel from flower to flower and pollinate(授粉) the plants they visit. Agriculture around the world would be very different without the bees, butterflies, moths, flies and wasps that pollinate many crops. In fact, nearly one-third of the food you eat depends on plants that are pollinated by insects!
While it is true that some species of insects harm or annoy us,you should not automatically reach for the bug spray when you come across an insect. You may be destroying one of the hundreds of thousands of insects that provides many benefits to human beings.

第二节 读写任务(共l小题,满分25分)
阅读下面的短文,然后按照要求写一篇150词左右的英语短文。
Most people remember their teachers as some kind of despotic(专制的)person although it isn't always the truth. Most of them are quite nice and are always there to give us a hand when we need one. Not so long ago, you might think the teacher was The Teacher and was almighty(万能的)and the students were there to learn and nothing else. Now there is some kind of interactivity(相互活动)between the students and the teacher. To my mind, teachers are here to teach us their knowledge and to listen to what we have to say. Indeed, students aren't afraid to tell them what they think any more. However, this doesn’t mean that they don't control their troops. It is just because times and methods have changed. Our teachers are now closer to their students and have created some kind of soft climate that allows us to be in class without a feeling of obligation(责任)or what so ever. Nevertheless, we can but notice that the "power" is still in the teachers' hands. If something goes wrong it is up to him or her to react properly and to carry out punishment if it is necessary.
