My swimming experience is extreme interesting. There is a time when I swam like a rock.

This went on till one day when I was fishing with a friend of me at a nearby pond. I slipped

into it. Had my friends not come to my rescue, I would have been drowned. Ever since then,

I have come to know importance of learning to swim. I didn’t attend any training class

and learned it all by myself. I have no difficult swimming at all now. Though the way I swim look

awkward (笨拙的), at least it can keep me from floating. Thinking of this, I feel quite satisfying.

Last Sunday I saw a worst storm in years. It came sudden and went on for over three hours. After lunch, I went into my room to have a rest. The air was hotter, and all is quiet. Then a strong wind started to blow into my room. Pieces of paper on my desk flew high into the air and some flew out the open window. As I ran out to catch them, big drop of rain began to fall. I just come back from Britain last week. I was luckily enough to be one of the student from different countries to visit the UK from Feb.16 to 28. We paid a visit to many places, like London, Oxford or the Lake District. I learned much about British culture and history in London, where was my favorite. I also liked Oxford, in which I saw much more old buildings. The Lake District was beautiful, but it was pity that it rained heavily when they were there. The most excited thing for me in the Britain was that I made a lot of friends there.

My father and I stayed at the South Lake Hotel for a week when we visit Beijing last month. It is in the downtown area, but it is easy to go to anywhere from the hotel by public transport. We lived in a comfortably double-room with a big bath. What I liked best were the free high-speed Internet connection in the room. I checked my email messages every day. I also shared for my friends many photos taking in Beijing. The food was wonderful with reasonable prices, and we enjoyed several local dish. It is such great hotel that I would recommend it to any friend of me who is going to Beijing.

One month before, with the College Entrance Examination around the corner, 1 was nervous and in low spirit because of my poor performance. The day before yesterday, I went to the bookstore which is near our school to buy the reference book. It was Saturday, so there was many people. With the helps of the shop assistants, I quickly got the book I needed. I was about to leave while I found someone trying to steal a man’s money. Although I was nervous, but I tried to think of a way to help. Suddenly, a good idea occurred me. I stepped on the man’s foot deliberate.
