I’m eighteen years old and I live in small village in the Peak District , not far from Nottingham. I grow up in this village, so I know everyone here. That’s the problem---- the problem is there’s nothing to do , and nobody of my age to do it with ! At the moments I travel into Nottingham every day to the shop as I work. There’s a bus at 7:30 in the morning or the last bus back in the evening is at 5:30 . From September, therefore, I’m going to stay in Nottingham by my aunt and uncle when my cousin joins in the Navy . I can use his room . I’m really looking forward to living in Nottingham.

My hobby is reading. I like reading novels, newspapers, magazines and so on. When I was 9 year old. I caught bad cold. I have to stay at home for several weeks. My mother bought to me some novels. Soon I was attracting by the stories. Since then I have made use of any time to read. And reading does give me many help. Recently, I have surfed the Internet at home, on that I’ve found that many students like read as I do. We exchange our reading experience online but we become good friends. Reading brings me all happiness and friendship.

Dear editor,
I am Evan from Canada. Being the oldest child in the family has its disadvantages. First of all, I have to share all my toys with my young sisters. Of course, they don't need to return to the favor because I'm total uninterested in their things. Besides, they are always hanging around me. I just can't get moment's peace. At meals, I have to eat whichever is on the plate regardless of the taste. My sisters only try one bite if it's not our favorite food. In addition, when it comes to practice our musical instruments, I have to practice more than double the time. Worst of all, I got a larger quantity of housework. Comparing to them, I'm feeling rather annoyed. Can you please give me some advices?

Everyone has a dream．We are on the way to achieve it whether the way is smooth or toughly．As senior 3 student, I have the same dream as my classmates that I can be admitted to an ideal university．In the past three years, I have done everything I can to equip myself with that I have learnt from my teachers．Not only have I enjoyed the pleasure of study but also I have got closer to my dream．Anxious and pressure did discourage from me at times．Besides, with the encouragement of my teachers and classmates, I think I’ll make it.
I’m sure that there has still a long way to go to achieve my dream．No matter how challenged it is, I’ll make it come true．As the proverb said,” Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”

My parents decided try a new Western restaurant last weekend, so I went with them. The evening started well and the menu looks good. I had soup with my starter but the waiter didn't bring a spoon so it was getting a bit cold after I could eat it. Then, for our main course, I had a piece of beef. Besides, I couldn't cut the beef because of my knife wasn't very good. For my dessert I had a apple pie but I didn't have a fork or a spoon so I ate them with my fingers! What a terribly experience!

In order to realize his dream, Bill Gates, richest man in the world, gave up studying in Harvard University, that is the most famous in the world. He set up a company and researching the computer software. As an old saying go, “Interest is the best teacher.” I quite agree with this idea. I began to be crazy about English when I was a little girl. I got extreme interested in foreign cultures or customs. To meet me curiosity, I read in English stories every day. It seemed to be the best “meal” of a day. As a result, I always did very well in English exam. Interest is the key of success.

Last week we held a heating discussion on which we should do for our school before we graduate. The students in our class have different suggestion. Thank you for the lovely day we have with you. It was so kind for you to let us bring Anne's friend, Gina. Unfortunate, the only problem was the journey home. There had been a terrible accident on the highway and, for a result, there was a long line of traffic for at least six mile. In the end, we drove to a service station and waited there unless the road was clear. In the car park here Gina nearly got knocked over as car drove out far too quickly from behind a lorry. They finally dropped Gina off at her parents' and made our own way to home.
