Malaysia

Want to achieve something great on your next Asian adventure? You should consider climbing one of the highest mountains in Southeast Asia. Kinabalu National Park in Malaysia is home to Mount Kinabalu, the mountain that around 40,000 people from all around the world go to climb every year. The journey normally takes two days.

China

In Shaanxi province of the country lies the world’s most dangerous hiking trail (路线). It’s up Mount Huashan, which is only 2,155m high. But the dangerous part is not the top, but the narrow, wooden boards you have to climb up to reach the top. They’re fixed onto the mountainside in a way that doesn’t look very secure. Nevertheless, many adventurers try and take a hair-raising picture as they climb up.

Each tent sleeps 2 in a four-poster double bed and has a western style toilet and bathroom with running water and hot shower. The tents use the dining facilities of the charming “Elsewhere” beach houses and enjoy over a mile of the pristine（处于原始状态的）beach where one can still see the footprints of fishermen , and during the season , possibly the prints of sea turtles.

The Original Icehotel

“Imagine a hotel built from thousands of tons of snow and ice, and rebuilt every winter”--that is ICEHOTEL in northern Lapland, Sweden.

A Certain Idea of France 　 by Julian Jackson　 Allen Lane £35

This door-stopping biography by British historian Julian Jackson — born in 1954 chronicles the life of Charles de Gaulle who is regarded as one of the greatest ever Frenchmen. While acknowledging that de Gaulle wasn’t very likeable, Jackson salutes his imagination and boldness- qualities that helped him steer France through its liberation from the Nazis and the war in Algeria.
