My son Leon’s passion for surfing began at the age of 13. After school each day, he put on his wet suit, paddled out beyond the surf line and waited to be challenged by his companions.

Fly Alone for the First Time

I began flying lessons at the age of 14; but the Federal Aviation Administration requires you to be 16 before you make flight by yourself. When I began my freshman year of college at the age of fifty, I was scared and felt frustrated by the experience. It seemed as if I didn’t blend in(融入) with my classmates, and I found myself struggling academically. I searched to find some help in the college, but wasn’t able to find much.
