The fast development of Internet makes it convenient for people to have access to the latest information all over the world, which broadens people’s horizons. However, sometimes the Internet is abused by some to spread rumors(谣言) on purpose, resulting in side effect on people’s life. Therefore, The Internet Society of China(ISC) released(出台) a written proposal last Monday which demanded of Internet companies and websites to strengthen self-discipline and prevent the spread of online rumors.
Three major websites in China voiced their solutions Tuesday to fighting against online rumors in response to the warning on Monday.
Chiefs of sina.com, baidu.com and qq.com have promised the government that they will firmly cooperate with relevant departments to deal with the online spreading of rumors, saying they will improve self-management and take effective measures toward this goal.
Microblogging websites should not be a hotbed for spreading of rumors, said a chief of sina.com, which operates the country's most popular microblogging site Weibo.com. He said Sina is making efforts to control the release of contents on Weibo.com and improve its ability to find out and remove rumors posted on it.
Weibo.com and another major Chinese microblogging site qq.com stopped their comment functions from March 31 to April 3 after they were punished for allowing rumors to spread.
A chief from Baidu.com said it was calling off the information that’s not lawful or legal in its search results and it would further increase technical and manpower investment to remove disinformation.
The website qq.com is learning from the past experience and bettering the safety strategy for its microblogging service to further prevent the spreading of online rumors through microblogging sites, said an unnamed chief from qq.com.
The measure has received widespread support from users and chances are that a cleaner and safer net environment will take shape.

Cloning has the potential to change society. For some,it’s a welcome development designed to make our lives easier. For others,it represents a threat to the health and balance of society, especially from a moral perspective(角度). Looking at these cloning pros and cons,it’s important to consider the scientific, financial, and social aspects of cloning processes.
From a scientific perspective, cloning can be considered major progress. Scientists aren’t limited by population. It’s also possible to clone pieces of living things.
However, cloning changes the natural order of life and death. Why should scientists have to treat an animal well in the lab if they can just make more? As a result, scientists may become lazy or careless with the living things they work on.
Cloning is a major business. Medical research groups have invested millions of dollars in making cloning possible. As a result, they can make big profits from selling cloning services to hospitals and the public. However, the wealth they achieve doesn’t mean that cloning itself is a profitable trial. For example, while a company may clone an organ, its price may be too high to afford. As a result, only rich people and governments could use cloning products.
As a whole, cloning for society can be debated for hours. On one hand, you have religious groups, who say that cloning is wrong. On the other hand, you have many people who are looking forward to making clones of themselves so that the clone can serve as a worker and leave the original person to enjoy a life of relaxation and wealth.
1.We can conclude from the first paragraph that ________.

B. more people think little of the benefits of cloning
C. cloning has the potential to change society for better
D. people should think of cloning in a more scientific way
2.Why do some people think cloning has a bad effect on scientific experiments?
A. More money may be spent on cloning other living things.
B. Scientists will become careless with their experiments.
C. Cloning may disturb the balance of nature and wildlife.
D. Scientists may ignore the living things they work on.
3.What is the disadvantage of cloning products put into the market?
A. More fake cloning products will crowd into the market soon.
B. Only a limited group would have access to cloning products.
C. Patients have to buy cloning products from hospitals or governments.
D. Scientists may pay attention to quantity of cloning products rather than quality.

[1]While the Internet is a great tool it also makes it easier for bullies to pick on their prey(猎物). According to the iSafe Foundation, over half of adolescents and teens have been bullied online, and about the same number have engaged in cyber bullying. Here is one story on how researchers are developing software to fight cyber bullies.
[2]Jeffery Michalenka learned his black belt in karate, but despite the fact he was a trained fighter he was often picked on by bullies. "Name called, teasing, when he was younger they would call him heifer(小母牛)," said Deborah Mich~denka,Jeffery's mother.
[3]As in Jeffery's case social media enables bullies to act anonymously while spreading their hatred rapidly. That's why artificial intelligence scientists at MIT are creating a software program to detect cyber bullying.
[4]"Bullies only talk about a few topics. It's usually racial or ethnic slurs(诽谤). It's things about personal appearance, social acceptance or rejection and threats' of violence,'' said Henry Lieberman, MIT artificial intelligence scientist.
[5]The researchers say subtle bullying is often hard to detect but their software can analyze sentences and determine if they are detrimental(有害的)to each gender. On the surface the sentence "you look pretty in pink" appears friendly if it is posted on a girl's wall. But on a boy's wall a cyber bully may be trying to anger the boy.
[6]"It may save a child's life and that's really what matters," Deborah concluded.
[7]Just one more way to fight cyber bullies before another child is hurt online.
[8]The team hopes social network sites will someday use this software to help detect bullying. The researchers are already working with Formspring,a social network site like Facebook. They also want the software to provide advice to the victims on what to do if they receive mean messages.
1.What could be the best title for the text? (no more than 5 words)
2.What do we know about Jeffery Michalenka from the text? (no more than 10 words)
3. What things do bullies usually talk about? (no more than 12 words)
4. What can the software mentioned in the text do? (no more than 15 words)
5.Why the sentence “you look pretty in pink” appears unfriendly if it’s posted on a boy’s wall? (no more than 14 words)
